What is there to expect at the Goodwood Festival of Speed?
This festival offers a range of activities to make sure you’re occupied during the day, although the main attraction is definitely the hill climb course!

Whilst the cars and bikes aren’t performing, you’re allowed access to go and explore the grounds, but also find your favourite vehicles too, as they’ll be lots of manufacturers who have static displays of their latest cars.

Here are some examples of some of the new cars being showcased at this event:
  • Aston Martin is coming with their dynamic debuts this Goodwood Festival, with the new DBS Superleggera, the V12 Vantage V600 and Rapide AMR.
  • BMW is setting their headline act to be the 8 Series Coupe, which is very exciting as it’ll be the first UK public appearance. Whilst you’ll also be able to see the i8 Roadster too.
  • Honda will be bringing some motorsport heritage with them at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2018, as they’re displaying a number of their race cars and bikes. Including the Honda F1 car from 1968 – the RA301.
  • Land Rover is celebrating their 70 years of history this year, and they’re taking their birthday celebrations over to Goodwood Festival of Speed with 70 models from all seven decades of its reign.
  • McLaren is fulfilling all supercar-fanatic dreams by revealing an all-new supercar called the 600GT, which is described to be a hardcore, track-focused variant of the 570S.
  • Polestar is also debuting their first showing of the Polestar 1, which is the firm’s first unique model with 592bhp backing it!

However, if you’re not so much a “car person”, you can get down and dirty with motorsport, as the Forest Rally Stag showcases all dirt racers past and present – from amazing motocross stunts to motorcycle trails. If you’re more of a power-seeker, you can enjoy this on a whole other level as on the weekend it will be interspersed with different air displays, this including the famous Red Arrows.
