1968 Rover P5 B 3.5 V8 Saloon. , First registered by “Henleys” Limited, London this impeccable Rover has covered a mere 33000 miles from new. Following the first owners passing in 1978, the car was placed in a heated garage where it remained untouched until 2018 when ownership passed to a local owner to us in Northamptonshire. The car was re commissioned including a new radial tyres, stainless steel exhaust, new shock absorbers and brake pipes etc. He has maintained the car since to a very high standard. The condition and originality of the car is quite remarkable, possibly the best P5 B available. The bodywork appears to be totally original. The Admiralty blue paintwork is beautiful with a deep lustre and depth of shine. The “Buckskin” leather seats are beautifully preserved, recent new deep pile carpets have been fitted. The dashboard and switch gear is crisp & bright and the woodwork very nice indeed. The under bonnet is totally original, clean and well cared for. The underside is totally original wearing its factory applied underseal protection which has certainly worked in preserving the car in the condition it presents today. , It drives very much as one would imagine it would as it drove off the production line in 1968 with its silky smooth 3.5 V8 Rover engine matched to a automatic gearbox with almost seemingly indistinguishable smooth gear changes. , A very detailed and organised history file is with the car containing the original bill of sale, original hand books, an original Rover sales brochure, maintenance, service and repair invoices and amazingly and original Rover supplying dealer had over pack containing car shampoo, glass cleaner and air freshener!, , The originality of the Rover really is quite remarkable and would adorn any classic car collection and would be admired at a classic car show or display.
