The bug was then completely re-painted in the original colour, Alaska Blue Metallic (Code 96B), and treated with a modern superior lacquer that really gives a wow-factor and epic pop in the sunshine!, , INTERIOR:, The original seats have been professionally re-upholstered in Cream vinyl with blue piping, and new blue carpets have also been installed. , ​MECHANICS:, The engine was removed and completely stripped down, cleaned, painted and reassembled with brand new seals, and was also treated to a 1641 piston and barrel upgrade. In addition, the Alternator was upgraded. The car runs on 2 single Webber Carburetors and the front brakes have been converted to discs. The car sits slightly lower than standard using upgraded suspension components.
