Specific to the S model was a re-profiled camshaft, larger valves, better porting, higher compression and larger jets for the Weber carburettors. The S version was now producing 180bhp and the model was well underway in establishing Porsche as a world leader in the production of sports cars and motorsport. From club racers to World Championships the 911 would become an integral part. The 911S provided the basic underpinnings of the 911 2.7 RS; a platform that would provide successes at the Targa Floria, Daytona, Sebring, and the Nurburgring all by the mid-Seventies. Its also stamped AT which indicates it is a factory replacement and bears the engine no. 6302110 which is confirmed as the original matching engine number.
