Supplied new in January 1973 to a Captain at Cunard Cruise Lines. Good period servicing invoices from Jaguar agents and distributors Heron Rossleigh, The Autoplex, Gylemuir Road, Edinburgh accompany, along with many period MOT certificates dating back 47 years. The car was highly cherished for the first 35 years, and competed with much success into concours events such as the Jaguar Drivers Club and Benson and Hedges concours. Several 1sts and 2nds accompany in the history file. The interior retains its genuine and unspoilt lustre, with the original Radiomobile radio present and working. Always nice to see original Triplex factory windscreen intact with its factory label. After a short drive its soon evident this is one of these special driving cars, which has never been taken apart with the goodness restored out. Oil pressure and temperature are excellent and commensurate with a low mileage car. The car displays a credible 37,000 miles backed up by period invoicing, MOT,s and a confirmation letter from the owner of 24 years back. Latterly the car has been laid up and will require a degree of cosmetic and mechanical recommissioning to bring back to former glory, all of which are negotiable.
