1956 Austin Healey 100/4, BN2, 2660cc, Overdrive, Uprated to M-Spec Matching numbers car. Originally sold in Texas and brought to the UK from California in 1990. This beautiful car comes with a vast amount of history including Heritage certificate, a bill for full Engine rebuild by Sigma Engineering in Gillingham Dorset in 2016 to bring to M spec for £6300 and Gearbox rebuild in Aug 2019 by TT racing Ltd for £2800, not to mention a large box folder of history dating right back, a beautiful original service book. Also included in the history is an American newspaper cutting and a hand written letter saying how this vehicle at some point in its life may have been part of Steve McQueens collection (but not much else to back this up) Interesting though. Been with the previous owner since 2011 as part of a collection, due to ill health I purchased the remaining 4 classics. From the condition his old girls were kept in, it was clear to see his love and passion ran very deep. A few years back he drove this gem down to Italy to the prestigious Mille Miglia Road Race as a spectator car. Brought up to M spec with a Denis Welch Aluminium Cylinder Head no C4010.
